Hey everyone! It’s time for a little update, and let me tell you, the restaurant is making progress!

Each day we’re getting closer and closer to opening! Are you excited?

We’re getting all our ducks in a row and have finally applied for all the licenses that we’ll need to have our place up and running soon. ?

First, we needed to register for the Food Business License. We need to do it at least 28 days before opening our restaurant, so we’re trying to get it done as quickly as we can. This is the most important license to have underway when you’re planning to open a restaurant, at least in my opinion (of course, I may be biased since I am the Chef haha).

My husband agrees, of course, but he thinks that the alcohol license is just as essential to a restaurant. (which, I have to admit, is kind of true).

So that our guests won’t be thirsty while they’re dining at Number 8 Restaurant, we’ve applied for an alcohol licence at the same time, since we plan on offering our customers some great Uruguayan red wine to go with their delicious dinners.

We’re also looking to have other options among our alcoholic beverages, because not everyone loves red wine as much as I do and we want to cater to most, if not all, tastes.

We’re trying to figure out if we need to have our premises approved as well, since food will be our main source of income and we’ll be handling meat and dairy, this is an important thing to consider. We’ve contacted our council and are waiting for their response now.
